Kate Wade is based in Charlottesville, Virginia. She brings an extensive and sophisticated background in design to her lifelong interest in textiles and their art applications. Kate’s experience in sewing and finding unique fabrics has resulted in the continuing creation of works for display, including the collections shown in this website.

“I am all about unexpected color and texture combinations using natural fibers, whether woven or printed. My work is personally pieced and quilted.”

Concerning the work, she recommends keeping her wall hangings away from direct sunlight or heat. Washing is not recommended; instead gently dust or shake to clean.
